As the tagline suggests, Once Upon a Time in China is a self-published autobiographical novel chronicling the life of a Chinese computer engineer between the years 1960 and 2020. We want to be as sincere and authentic as possible so you may personally experience exotic and previously unknown times and places just by reading. However, you must understand that this is a work of fiction and SHOULD NOT connect it to real events, locations, companies, persons, etc.
Who is Dawnlight?
Dawnlight is the old pen name of a father-son duo who humbly draft and present this online book to you, our dear reader.
Where is the city of Jiangnan on the world map?
Interestingly, the name Jiangnan shares the very same Chinese characters with the YouTube hit Gangnam Style. It is a fictional city by a tributary of the Yangtze (in South China!), founded thousands of years ago.
